Making Classical Music Accessible
Since 1975, the Concord Chamber Orchestra has offered talented, volunteer musicians the opportunity to create stimulating musical experiences for the enjoyment and inspiration of Milwaukee area audiences. Concord is an all-volunteer, non-paid group of approximately 60 musicians from a variety of professions and backgrounds.
Audiences enjoy smaller, more intimate settings than most orchestras our size, and an affordable ticket price. The repertoire is carefully chosen for each concert with the goal of offering selections the audience will recognize as well as introducing them to unfamiliar and engaging works.
The CCO is committed to supporting the work of emerging artists. We often include young performers in our concerts throughout the season. Additionally, through our annual Walter A. and Dorothy J. Oestreich Concerto Competition, Concord gives outstanding young musicians the opportunity to perform a concerto of their choice with the orchestra.
After each concert, audience members have a unique opportunity to mingle with our musicians and music director. It’s a very special chance to ask questions and give feedback directly to the orchestra members.

Audiences and Musicians Are Saying...
The CCO is definitely one of Milwaukee's musical gems. We hope more people will discover Jamin's innovative programming and the quality of the orchestra."
Howard Berliant and Anne Wright "What a wonderful concert last night in New Berlin! Bravo! Thanks to all of you in the organization for being devoted to sharing with the community and sharing so much. Great mix of repertoire! Truly heroic effort at amplifying a full orchestra! Beautiful and tastefully interpreted solos." Joan & Karl Kay "THAT was a WONDERFUL concert! We were mesmerized from the time we entered the door. We can't think of a better way to begin the Christmas season. WOW! THAT was GLORIA! Thanks to the CCO for such a wonderful event." Mark & Laura Thimke "I'm 87 years old, and this is one of the best concerts I've ever attended in my life. I can't always afford to go to concerts anymore. Thank you for bringing this music to us." Boerner Botanical Gardens audience member "I can’t tell you much it means to play with Concord and how moving the concerts are for me. I am always so sad to think that this is last time we will play each piece (at least for now). That is the point of music, transporting us to another level of emotion just by playing combination of notes. Thanks again for bringing out the best in all of our playing.
