The Greatest Story
Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 7 p.m.
Basilica of St. Josaphat, Milwaukee
feat. the UW-Parkside Choir under the direction of Dr. James Kinchen
This Christmas we're telling two beautiful stories. The first is a seasonal favorite about a magical toy that comes alive – Tchaikovsky's iconic The Nutcracker. Then rejoice with the angels as they celebrate and announce the birth of Christ in Poulenc's Gloria. We'll also include a cappella choral pieces by our special guest choir, and end the evening with Leroy Anderson's sing-along Christmas Festival.
The public is invited to attend our final rehearsal at no cost on Thursday, December 1 from 7-10 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Please enter quietly from the parking lot entrance (near the corner of 7th and Lincoln) and do not disturb the rehearsal. You may sit anywhere except for the first four rows, which will be reserved for the musicians and chorus. Children are welcome, as long as they are able to sit quietly. No ticket is necessary.
