We’re “going low” this concert to showcase the bottom end of the orchestra as we focus on our low brass section.

Celebrate with us as we continue our tradition of presenting Gian Carlo Menotti’s Christmas opera with the Milwaukee High School of the Arts Chorus in the city’s most beautiful venue.

The Concord Chamber Orchestra contains a variety of talented individual musicians who come together in small ensembles as well as the full orchestra. Our annual “sampler” concert is a unique opportunity to hear some of these gems, each featuring musicians who make the beauty that is the CCO.

As well as featuring the young winner of our 2024 Walter A. and Dorothy J. Oestreich Concerto Competition, we will play two seldom-heard works capped off by the most famous four notes in music.

Crowning Glory

Back by popular demand, violin soloist John Patek brings his glittering artistry to a performance of selections from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, but with a twist! Our season culminates with the only symphony fit to follow in Beethoven’s footsteps.

Repertoire includes:
  • Bränningar (“Breaking Waves”) by Helena Munktell
  • “Spring” and “Summer” from The Four Seasons, by Antonio Vivaldi (recomposed by Max Richter)
  • Symphony No. 1 in C minor by Johannes Brahms
