Hans Goldstein, Winner 07/08 Concerto Competition

Born in Drammen, Norway in 1988, Hans Goldstein is winner of numerous prizes in the midwest and Norway.

Hans will play this coming season with Richardson Symphony based in Dallas, Texas and the Wisconsin based Concord Chamber Orchestra. He is winner of the 2008 Lennox International Young Artist Competition.

He has played twice as soloist with the Milwaukee Symphony and three orchestras within the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Goldstein's
performances have been broadcasted on "Virtuos" on Radio/Television program NRK in Norway. His playing has also appeared on radio programs in New Hampshire and Wisconsin. He previously studied privately with Hans Jorgen Jensen and Elizabeth Tuma. He has taken lessons and masterclasses with such renown cellists as Laszlo Varga, Nathaniel Rosen, Erling Bloendal
Benggston and Natalia Gutman. Mr. Goldstein has been invited to such festivals as Sarasota, Heifetz, Meadowmount, Madeline Island and Piatigorsky Seminar. Hans Goldstein studies with Amit Peled at Peabody Conservatory. He plays a rare 1991 Tetsuo Matsuda cello.
