St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa
Focusing on the core of the orchestra – the string section (or “wire choir”) – our first concert takes us through nearly 400 years of music to explore what makes an orchestra an “orchestra,” culminating in Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with local artist John Patek.

Featuring Bob Syverson, trumpet soloist, and the Lutheran A Cappella Choir and Bach Chamber Choir – Christmas just doesn’t seem complete without brass instruments, and we are delighted to bring you the gift of brass music this holiday season. Two choruses will combine to provide our traditional choral finale with some classic Christmas favorites

Australian Sean O’Boyle will present a newly commissioned concerto designed to showcase the oldest family of instruments, the drums. Then we’ll combine all the instruments together in Benjamin Britten’s timeless Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.
